Activity Description

The British Columbia Anesthesiologists' Society (BCAS) and Washington State Society of Anesthesiologists (WSSA) joint meeting is an annual continuing medical education conference focused on current anesthesia practices as well as collaboration across international borders on approaches to common questions in anesthesiology. This meeting includes updates on relevant topics within the specialty as well as emerging evidence that attendees then apply to improve the quality of their anesthesia practice. Earn up to 7.0 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™️!

COVID Policy

We will be following all local Canadian and CDC guidelines for COVID safety during the meeting. Special border crossing requirements are ending October 1, and WSSA will keep registrants informed if that changes back.


Cancellation Policy

Written cancellations for the conference and dinner prior to Friday, October 28, 2022 will receive a refund less a $25 processing fee per person. No refunds will be given for cancellations after Friday, October 28, 2022.

WSSA members who are a no-show, or do not cancel by the cancellation date of Friday, October 28, 2022, will be invoiced $50.

75th(ish) Anniversary Dinner Information

Saturday, November 12, will be a reception and sit-down dinner to help commemorate the 75th(ish) anniversary of this Joint Meeting. There will even be a live band to provide the evening's entertainment. All are welcome and encouraged to attend, however there will be an additional fee incurred. 

You will be asked in the registration form to select one of the following dinner entrée options and to note any food allergies/sensitivities. 

  • Entrée Option #1 - Poussin - Roasted Game Hen with chanterelle mushroom, herbs and wild rice, white cannellini bean fricassee, kale, maple cinnamon baked squash, cranberry poultry glaze

  • Entrée Option #2 - Sablefish - Roasted miso-glazed North Pacific black cod, five-spiced braised daikon, baby bok choy, spring onion, pan-seared hand-made flour dumpling, wild mushroom and tomato consommé
  • Entrée Option #3 - Wild Mushroom Spinach and Ricotta Roulade - Baby striped beets, asparagus, roasted cauliflower florets, roasted garlic cannellini bean puree, grape tomato basil vinaigrette, black pepper parmesan crisp
